You know those days when you get to dress up, and play in the sunshine? This was one of those days! It was like a grown-up playdate, complete with the most fabulous clothes from Muse Apparel, a boutique located at the Uptown Plaza in Central Phoenix. If you’re local to the Phoenix area, you will want to stop into this well-curated and adorable shop for some of the hottest designers and brands…I love the Wildfox line, among others that they carry, and the employees can help you get festival ready in a snap (even if you’re not heading to Coachella, you’ll look just as cute at every pool or graduation party this summer).
We did this shoot as a collaboration to kick off the summer, and wanted to highlight Muse’s wide variety of beautiful clothes for summer. Arizona summers are hot, hot, hot, and so we chose things you can wear to beat the heat and still look stylish. This model, Madeline, is a girl I’ve actually known since she was just 12 years old and babysitting my kids. Now, she’s a stunning senior at ASU and a future Civil Engineer…that natural, easy beauty is also backed by some senior brains! Hair and makeup by the wonderful Laura Burton from R Salon, who amped up Madeline’s natural looks with a bold brow and beautiful eye shadows. We selected five outfits, which was no small feat because of we wanted to showcase every stylish piece. Madeline was a trooper, and had a constant smile even though we were shooting in the middle of the desert and she had to change in a tent on a hot, windblown day!
We especially loved the Abba summer dress from Black Swan paired with sandals and a great belt, and you can replicate this outfit by popping into Muse today! Thanks, Madeline for modeling for me!
