Lilly | Modern Senior Photography in Phoenix, Arizona
Lilly is a true artist. She’s a talented musician with an amazing and bold sense of personal style, which means she was a dream to work with! She is effortlessly cool, yet has a very humble heart, which is the best combination! One of her biggest accomplishments in high school has been recording a song she wrote, and releasing it to iTunes and Spotify (when she becomes famous, I’m going to be able to say ‘I knew her when!’). She has not only been honing her musical experience in high school, she also plays softball, is in the honor choir, writes for the school newspaper, and volunteers with the sister cities as a program alumni. “My friends would probably say I am creative, entertaining, and that I like to make them laugh”, she adds, “I can’t live without music and my headphones, and my notebook, where I write lyrics and ideas.” Lilly joined my SSP Team19 because, as she says, “I have a flair for the dramatic, and I have always been interested in photography, so I wanted to see what it was like to be on the other side of the camera. I was excited to meet new people, and I heard from past participants, that it was a great experience”.
One of Lilly’s favorite things to wear are her black, lace-up boots, and really cool jackets. Of course, we live in a warm climate, but she can show off her funky style in most of the winter months, at least! When I asked her about what makes her feel beautiful, she said it would be performing her original music, or driving with the windows down and singing along with her favorite song. “I think true beauty has to do with how confident you feel, and how you see yourself, not just how others see you”, she adds. The members of my Team19 never cease to amaze me with their diversity and the unique things they bring to the table, and Lilly is one that I will remember for a long time! I know one day she will be on the radio herself, and I can’t wait to see that day arrive!
