Senior Portrait time meant getting to hang out with Washington High School Class of 2016 Swim Team Captain and Senior Class President Megan! I have known Megan for many years and it was an honor to take her photos and enjoy the beauty of who she has become inside and out. Many of Megan’s friends describe her as outgoing, strong, funny, and a pursuer. Megan has persevered through several struggles during her time in high school, and as she continues to learn, she is becoming stronger. She is learning about forgiveness and who Christ has made her to be. Her time in high school has been filled with 3 years of softball and 4 years of swimming and serving the student body as president and treasurer.
Megan would tell incoming freshmen, “You will struggle with finding your true friends and finding out who you are and what you like. Also, focus on your grades and not boys! Getting an education is far more important!” I am so happy she will be staying in the area and going to Grand Canyon University in the fall. She wants to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. I think she will be an amazing teacher one day! Megan is not one to love the spotlight and was nervous for her shoot, but once we warmed up a bit and laughed a lot, it became easy going and lots of fun.
