I certainly love all my spokesmodels this year; I feel like I have found an amazing group of strong, independent and talented young women. But, one stands out in particular to me…I might be a bit biased, because she is my daughter! My daughter Sarah is a senior this year at Sunnyslope High School, and she happily joined the ranks of my spokesmodel team! “My mom takes pretty okay pictures”, she joked, adding, “But seriously, being on the team gives me an opportunity to connect with girls outside of my high school that I wouldn’t meet otherwise”.
Sarah is part of the performance choir at Sunnyslope High School, and she recently made the vocal ensemble, something she says is her biggest accomplishment to date. She works part time at the YMCA, proving childcare for parents there, and loves playing the ukulele and guitar in her spare time. Sarah has a huge heart for children (something I love and admire about her), and she hopes to attend NAU after high school to earn her teaching degree. “I absolutely love kids, and since middle school, I’ve known that teaching is what I want to do. My friends would describe me as someone who is shy at first, but is kind, funny, and creative”, she says. She wears a fun mix of comfy and trendy clothes in her daily wardrobe, including items like rompers and flowy shirts. For her session, we added a bohemian flower crown!
Sarah, I’m proud to be your mom, and proud to have you on my team this year as you celebrate your accomplishments!
