Meet Alexis.  Alexis is many things…an accomplished dancer, an aspiring photographer and a future doctor. Oh, she’s also 16 and graduating a year early from Basis High School. She loves her friends and dancing and is always up for an impromptu photo shoot downtown. We had a lot to chat bout as we meandered the colorful streets of Roosevelt Row for her Luxe Senior Session.

I loved the edgy kick her boots gave to this feminine floral dress. The light behind her was the perfect setting for these more playful sassy images!

And then she put her point shoes on. Pure magic happened right in front of my eyes! I could have spent all afternoon watching her dance! SHe transformed into this lovely, confident, strong artist who knows her craft well! 

There is beauty everywhere, you just have to have the eyes to see it. The scaffolding became a fun playground for a set. I loved how up for anything Alexis was during our shoot! 

As soon as she showed me the bright blue of her dance skirt, I knew where we were headed! Downtown Phoenix is such a fun location. THere are so many walls and murals and textures that are the perfect backdrop for my Seniors and their personalities. 

In her Pre-session questionnaire, Alexis’ mom said what she wanted Alexis “to remember as she leaves the nest is the everlasting love that we have for her, that we believe in her, and are excited to see where life takes her.” I know we created images that captured the essence of who Alexis is in this season!
