Bring me all the Curls
Oh my goodness, this is one of those sessions I can’t believe I haven’t posted yet! Kelly was a member of my Class of 2019 senior team and a graduate from Sunnyslope High School. As part of my senior team we got to play all year long and I was so glad for that because Kelly is one of the sweetest souls out there. There are two things I just love about this session. 1. That LIGHT. and 2. Her gorgeous naturally curly hair. When Kelly first applied for my senior team she wrote about how her hair had always been a struggle for her. There was a season when she wore her hair back in a tight ponytail everyday because she just didn’t know what else to do with it, not did she want to take the time every day to figure out how to style it. I was so grateful for how honest she was about this, because it really made me want to showcase her beautiful curls for her Senior Pictures and every other shoot we did through the year.
I am not an expert at styling hair like Kelly’s, far from it! But I do work with some amazingly talented and knowledgeable Hair and Makeup artists that were completely up for working with and enhancing all of that natural texture. Kelly was even able to schedule a few trail runs before her shoot to make sure she was happy and comfortable with the final results. I would say the end results were pretty stunning! GIrls like Kelly are exactly why I include pre-session professional hair and make up styling. The day of your Senior Portraits should be stress free and effortless. You should feel confident knowing your final look is exactly what you want it to be, regardless of your hair length, color or texture. So bring me all the curls, natural texture and wave. It really does give my team of stylists an opportunity to show off their skill as well as make you look your best!
