Every parent has big dreams for their child, but I don’t think there is one as big as the dream to see them succeed and remember their own worth. I know as a mom, I want my children to remember Who’s they are, and who they are…it’s important to me that they feel confident and valued, and recognize the power they have to do good in the world because of their faith and their passions. Connor’s mom shares my view, and explained, “I hope my son remembers that he can use this time of his life to define who he wants to be, and to make his impact on the world. I hope he always remembers that he has taken on a great deal of responsibility and has shown up in amazing ways. I hope he never forgets how proud we are of the young man, and great person, that he is. Mostly, I hope he always sees and feels how loved he is, by everyone around him simply for being himself”. Powerful words from such a loving and wonderful mom!
We chose a special spot for Connor’s senior shoot; the Roosevelt Row art district in Phoenix, Arizona, and it suited his style perfectly. Although his personal style is more athletic, he wanted something bright, with an urban and architectural feel, and this fit the bill. He is from Paradise Valley High School, and will be donning his cap and gown as part of the Class of 2019 this June. I loved the amazing street art that we used as his backdrop, especially this regal/stunning eagle with flames…it represented his strength and fortitude as he has completed his high school years with so many accomplishments.
Phoenix is bursting with amazing locations, and we work hard here at SSP to find them all. I often spend my off days scouting new spots, and if you have one in mind, you can always share it with me when you book your session! Let’s go!
