Downtown and Golden Light for Avery

I’ve heard from some of my seniors that they’ve been told at some point that neutral colors look best in pictures. I tend to be the photographer that goes against that idea. I love bold bright colors and I’m so glad I get seniors who do too! Take a look at Avery’s fun colorful session in downtown Phoenix.
I almost got up and started to do a happy dance when she came with her outfits to her Pre-session meeting. That bright blue and fun kelly green just look amazing on her with her vibrant blue eyes and light hair. Her senior portraits just burst with color and energy, all because of the combination of setting and colors and her fun personality.

This is one of the most requested spots I get when talking about shooting in a downtown or more urban setting. I think its the great neutral background and strong leading lines plus that peek of the building downtown that make it so popular. Full confession. It’s a parking garage. I love shooting in parking garages! All that concrete makes for great light reflection and the contrast of the stark grey with this blue or pretty much any bright color just makes me happy! Avery did a  great job choosing outfits that really showed off the different facets of her personality. Keep scrolling for a whole other side to her!!
