Downtown Urban Shoot with Cole

Can we go Downtown Phoenix and find some great murals to shoot around? Why yes, we definitely can. That’s exactly what we did for Cole’s Senior pictures. Cole was a little hesitant at first about having his senior pictures taken. Most guys are not a fan of posing or being in front of the camera. I get it, I really do. A lot of senior guys I work with start out feeling the same way. By the time we were done he and his mom was chatting away and laughing. I’d even go so far as to say he was having fun! Bonus: Cole turned out to be a total natural in front of the lens. I mean seriously. Those eyes!!

My favorite way of shooting downtown is picking a spot to start. The best shots come from walking around and letting our path be determined by what catches our eyes. There are so many great spots to choose from and I can take you to tucked away alleys and murals that you might not know about. It’s fun to match the colors of the downtown with the style and personality of the Senior I am with. Honestly, that’s what makes every shoot different! The area we choose was full of bold colors and graphics with a few more muted backgrounds colors thrown in for variety.
