Emma’s Botanical Garden Shoot

Where, in the middle of the Arizona, can you find colorful wildflowers and pops of gorgeous color? I get asked that question a lot from seniors and their families when we meet to plan out their session details. As much as I would love to have fields of wildflowers a short 10 minute drive away, that is just not the case here in Phoenix. So what are we to do here, surrounded by desert landscape? I have a favorite shoot location that provides the perfect back drop! Have you ever been to the Desert Botanical Garden in Tempe? If you haven’t I highly receommend taking an afternoon to stroll the beautiful grounds!

Emma brought a variety of outfits to her Senior Portraits and I wanted a location that would match that variety in both colors and textures. We headed to the Botanical Garden for a spring afternoon and it was such a fun place for her shoot! We found wildflowers galore plus bright and bold colors of glass and metal work. We had so much to choose from to match Emma’s clothing choices and vibe. The garden is a huge expanse of different plants and cactus. It’s meticulously maintained and every season brings some thing different.
