One of my favorite things to do when planning out your Senior Portrait session is to pick a location that reflects your personal style. When we meet for your pre-session consultation, we will come up with a background that will make your choices really shine. Lindsey had a Fall color palette for her clothing and also wanted lots of greenery and flowers. We picked a location that had Mediterranean feel with tile, wrought iron and big wood doors. The challenge was to create a look that captured the fall feels she wanted for her session. I knew we were headed to Old Town Scottsdale to fit all of her wishes perfectly! Since Phoenix can be short on Fall foliage, we used the colors in the surrounding areas to give a session a more seasonal look.
She also wanted an urban, city vibe and some pictures where she was walking in the street at sunset. Sometimes I laugh at people’s reaction when they see where I want to shoot. Often times doorways and staircases make for the best lighting. We were in an alley way and I knew these colors would complement Lindsey’s red romper and her playful urban vibe for this set. Oh my goodness…those green eyes of hers!
High waisted denim and a cute neutral sweater paired with that golden light made for a stunning way to end her session! She looks like she stepped out of a Hollister ad to me and she was stopping traffic while rocking her inner super model!
I love creating sessions that reflect the personal, unique style of my Seniors! I’d love to talk to you about creating the perfect Senior Portrait session for you! Head on over to my Contact page and drop me a note to get started.
