If you’re a Parks and Rec fan, you surely have heard of the now-famous holiday called “Galentine’s Day”; the day to celebrate the women who are part of your life! It’s one of the best excuses to throw a party, let’s be honest…and parties are so my thing. Girls who join my senior team have lots of opportunities to gather with the other members and celebrate this amazing time in their lives, and I knew this theme would be one they would all rally around.
We had twelve members of the senior team come play dress up, and we opened up the exclusive style closet for the occasion. My style closet is something I’m super proud of: a curated collection of beautiful and stylish pieces that my girls can choose from, to supplement or guide their own wardrobe choices. For this, they played around with the red, white, and pink Valentine’s color palette, and each girl chose a look that fit their personal style. I wanted them to each have the chance to choose a look that was sporty, bold, flirty, or soft! We actually did this shoot in my backyard, where the light and the gazebo never disappoint. With the addition of plenty of balloons, flower crowns, and pops of confetti and glitter, we had the perfect day.
Happy Galentine’s Day! Don’t forget to celebrate the amazing friendships and people in your life!
