One of the biggest requests I get when talking about location is for flowers and a nature filled background. Even if it’s the middle of summer or winter, that remains the #1 wish. Being that we live here in Phoenix, the very definition of DESERT, how to do achieve that look without having to travel? We don’t have wide open grass fields nor do we have wildflowers that grow all year long. The answer to finding great backgrounds…trusting your photographer!
I met with Jennelle for our pre-session meet up and she showed me her clothing choices for the morning. She has a playful, colorful style that shows off her tall, athletic frame. When she asked for a colorful flower background I knew exactly where we were headed! The morning light through these trees made for the perfect frame for this mustard yellow top, her beautiful dark hair and a cute denim skirt.
Ohhhhh….I am such a sucker for sunflare! This was shot early in the morning but it looks like golden hour light. Jennelle, you are just so pretty and I loved this set so much!
We don’t need a field of flowers or a large group of trees to make it look like a flower explosion. It’s all about placement and shooting angles to make the flowers look like there are more of them then there really are! Doesn’t her white dress look so pretty against the pink bougainvillea? This was really just a small cluster tucked up against a restaurant!
We had a fun morning walking through the empty streets of Old Town Scottsdale! I got to hear about her experiences at Xavier College Prep and her commitment to her team with Club One. Jennelle is an impressive volleyball player and plans on continuing her volleyball career while in college. We talked about what it looks like to balance academics and sports while in school. She has remained dedicated to achieving good grades while playing club sports and admitted it could be tough at times to make it all fit!
Strong, beautiful and so much style! Jennelle it was so much fun meeting you and I wish you all the best. Thank you so much for choosing me for your Senior Pictures!
