Meyla | Senior Mini Session | Phoenix Arizona Senior Photographer

This year, with the high temperatures in Phoenix, I ended up offering something just a little bit different. I offered mini sessions for the seniors who needed time-constrained photos for a yearbook deadline, but were not quite ready to do their full session (due to the heat). Meyla, a senior from the Class of 2017 at Phoenix Country Day School, booked one of these mini’s with me. In just twenty minutes, we were able to snag the perfect photos for her yearbook! I loved the cool lighting behind her with the grid wall, and the way her brilliant smile brought plenty of personality and fun to this short shoot.

This beautiful girl said she loves unique portraits, and really wanted something different than a standard yearbook photo…we went for something more natural and fun. She is currently part of several clubs at her school, including the Yoga Club and the Diversity Club. She is on the cheer squad as well, and is one of three cheer captains. Free People, Nordstrom and Topshop are some of her favorite places to shop, and she says she loves the bohemian styles that are so popular right now. After graduation, she plans to choose between UT at Austin, and UC Boulder to study medicine and psychology.
