I love hearing how the friends of my seniors describe them…it’s often different than how they’d describe themselves, but it is sweet to watch their eyes light up as they find out traits they may not have identified in themselves. Rebecca’s friends described her as hilarious, outgoing, loyal and a great listener….wonderful things I got to discover in our time together! She is part of the Class of 2016, and will be attending the University of Queens of North Carolina, where she’s earned a scholarship. Rebecca is interested in studying digital media and journalism, and she works hard to stay on top of her education. In addition to being an excellent student, she is also an amazing triathlete, and recently, Rebecca competed in the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championship. In the bits of free time not consumed with school and athletics, she is very involved in Young Life and the Children’s Ministries at Living Streams Church.
To future graduates, she offers this sage advice, “I’d tell them to be themselves throughout high school.” I loved that…so true! Rebecca is easy-going and funny, and we shared a ton of laughs during her session. Not only is she incredibly accomplished, she also has excellent taste in fashion. She shopped at one of my local favorite boutiques (you can find my post about them here), for some of her wardrobe including that drop-dead-gorgeous green dress. We found a few urban and outdoor backgrounds for her, and the light was beautiful behind her in the city shots. I loved getting to know you Rebecca, and can’t wait to see all that God brings you in the coming years!
