Let’s be completely honest. Most guys are not jumping up and down with joy wanting to have their Senior Portraits done. More often than not, it’s their moms who really want them to have pictures taken. While my senior girls dream of and plan for their turn, my senior guys usually wait until late spring before they can’t put it off any longer! I get it. I have a teenage son myself and I get the dislike for posing and mugging for the camera. But I promise you, Senior Sessions are pain free and you might even have FUN. (Gasp!)
Meet Colten, a senior at Verrado High School. While chatting with him and his mom about what type of setting he’d like, Colten expressed a desire for urban and colorful. He likes graffiti art and downtown, so Roosevelt Row seemed like the perfect fit for him! We had a great time talking about his High School experiences so far and his plans for life after wards.
Although there was so much fun color around, I am loving the clean and classic black and whites! His denim jacket and chinos made for a great neutral color palette we paired with the explosion of colors in the murals around him.
We ended with a bright blue background to really bring out his blue eyes! We had a fun afternoon and kept things simple as we meandered the Art district downtown.
