Excuse me while I have a total mom moment! This is my daughter Sarah. She graduated from ASU this May. I don’t have enough words to express how proud I am of her! Like all seniors this year, Sarah had to overcome the disappointment of online classes and all the challenges that the Covid 19 pandemic threw into the ring. I watched my daughter persevere, adapt and manage all the feelings of lose and excitement that this past year brought our way. What a crazy roller coaster for all the graduates this year. I think especially for college graduates who have worked so hard to reach this amazing milestone. This past year was not what any of us would have have wanted for our kids. I am so proud of the way Sarah over came an in the end and rose up above all the challenges! She graduated with a degree in Speech and Hearing, with a promising future as a Speech Language Pathologist. Or in English, a Speech Therapist!
Shortly after graduation Sarah was offered a great job and she is currently working in a clinic, with her focus being on children from birth through High School. I’ve had the privilege of listening to her work with her kids and my heart just melts. She is giving them a voice and helping them find their way, and more importantly, she is giving hope to parents. All of her hard work, late nights, stepping out of her comfort zone and trying the things that were scary…all of it has finally paid off! Congratulations, dear beautiful amazing daughter of mine. Dad and I love you to the moon and back and we can’t wait to watch you continue to spread your wings and fly!
We almost didn’t do Senior Pictures! I’m so glad she let me pull her away for a quick afternoon on the ASU campus to catch a few images. This milestone is way too important not to celebrate and mark with some pictures!
