I love hanging with my Senior Guys, just as much as the girls that come through my studio. Most guys start out with the idea that getting Senior Portraits done, really, is just to make their moms happy. Then they meet me, see how I work and actually see them and their unique style. That’s usually when they start to relax and actually have fun! I’m not one to pose my senior guys in stuffy outdated ways. I’d much rather have them moving. That’s when they are most relaxed and comfortable, imagining their best friend is right behind me, cracking jokes. All of this came together for Tate during his Senior Pictures on a May afternoon in downtown Phoenix.
I love color images, especially with eyes as blue as Tate’s. But I also just love a good black and white portrait. Especially for my Senior Guys. I think there’s something so masculine and classic about Black and White pictures, so I included a few in his final images. What do you think? DO you like the color or black and white version better? And, do you want to include some black and white’s in your Senior Picture gallery? Some things to think about!
One thing I also recommend for my senior guys is to include a more formal outfit. Suit jackets, ties and dress shirts may seem like overkill. However, they really add a nice polished look to your images. Plus, they serve double duty as you will be needing pictures with a professional look for resumes and headshots coming up in college. Why not start off prepared! Seriously, doesn’t Tate look handsome? I loved this set downtown. He defiantly brought his “A” Game!
I wish him all the best as he start at University of Arizona in the Fall! Class of 2022, I am looking at you! Are you ready to get your date set for your Senior Pictures?
