The Little White Dress for the Win

If you’ve followed me for any length of time you know I absolutely LOVE color! But I wanted to show you how well simple neutrals make for a beautiful session when paired with the right background. Meet Kelli, a class of 2020 Senior at Horizon High School. Kelli loves a clear neutral color palette and really wanted a simple landscape for her Senior pictures. We headed out to Market Street at DC Ranch for a great combination of cool natural architect and desert landscape.

Her cute white summer dress paired extremely well with just about everywhere we went to shoot. It stood out amongst the desert colors and sandy neutrals of the buildings and bridge. But what a fun pop of contrast against the lush green grass and trees!  Paired with Doc Martins and her fabulous smile for the win. When we met for her Pre-session consultation I knew the perfect spots to go to based on her clothing choices and style.

The second half of her session was spent in a cozy off the shoulder sweater and some distressed black denim. Again, such a fun combination with the wrought Iron and greys of the walls and glass framing the shops. It’s never a coincidence when your outfits complement the surroundings! It’s the main reason I like to have an idea before hand of what you will be wearing for your shoot. When we get to our location i know exactly where we are going and what back grounds will show off your style to make you look your very best.
