What to Wear Fall Senior Portraits

It’s that time of year when the rest of the country is gearing up for cooler weather. Boots, jeans and scarves are starting to make their appearance in clothing ads and stores are bringing out their fall styles. What do we do here in Phoenix, when we are still months away from temperatures cool enough for sweaters and scarves? We embrace all the good things about fall…the deep, rich colors and beautiful new details, but with fun easy styles that are still comfortable and cute! I collaborated with local boutique Kute N Klever on this shoot with the girls on my Senior Team to put together this fun What to Wear guide for your Fall Senior Pictures.

Fall is all about color! Wines, pinks, deep oranges and purples take center stage. Pair with some dark wash skinny jeans and booties for a pulled together yet playful look. Patterns and off the shoulder tops are very much in style this season and so wearable well into Fall in Phoenix!

We lived in off the shoulder tops all summer long! THis is a style you can carry into the fall. Especially with fun prints and patterns in Fall tones like these.

Classic black gets an update with bell sleeves and subtle cutouts. Pair with bold animal prints for a bold statement look. Isn’t this outfit amazing on Laura?!

You don’t have to be a fan of Pumpkin Spice Lattes to fall in love with this dress! The deep pumpkin color and flattering cut looks amazing on pretty much any body type. And we loved the detail at the neck! Pair with tighs and a denim jacket as the nights get cooler. This dress is a total must have essential! Who doesn’t love a good flannel shirt? This one gets a feminine update, with that cute tie waist and slim profile, this is another great look paired with jeans and boots! Add in some fun jewelry to make it even more playful and you are camera ready!

I loved this shirt so much I brought one home for myself! The color is just beautiful and the loose fit is so flattering. Tbe back has a tied bow accent, so you look just as cute coming as you do going. I absolutely adore the girls on my Senior Team and I had so much fun putting this shoot together with them. Each of them choose their favorite look and all of these styles are great choices.  If you are wondering how to shop for your upcoming Senior Pictures, don’t be afraid to go for bold colors and prints. RIch darker colors are flattering on all body styles and help you look long and lean in your images. You’ll have the best dressed group of friends if you plan a shopping date together!
