If you been following along on my blog, you may have seen the first Part of the Red Dress shoot that we did with Katie. I purposefully selected 2 very different girls from my Senior Team to participate in these shoots with me! I really wanted to show how varied the styling of one dress could be. Katie’s shoot was themed around a strong, Nordic princess idea. With Payton, I wanted to go with a much softer, more feminine theme to bring in the tones of the Arizona desert. We shot our session on a beautiful November afternoon at the Desert Botanical Gardens! We wandered on paths and played in the soft glowly light. Her Cactus flower crown was a favorite touch and all the accessories I felt this shoot needed.
It really was the biggest honor to be one of only 12 photographers nation wide to be selected to participate in this styled concept shoot! All of the images will be put into a print publication and I’ll be sure to share when I get my copy. Both of the girls that participated were from my Senior Team. Senior Team members get access to editorial and styled shoots during their senior year. It’s a chance to step out of their comfort zones, work with local boutiques, or in this case, National collaborations for the the ultimate dress up and a chance to be in a publication!
I’m currently putting together my Senior Team for Class of 2019! If you are a current Junior who is outgoing, friendly and loves to play dress up, I’d love to hear from you! Have you applied?!
