Dear Mackenzie ,
I am proud of you for who you have become. You have grown up to become an independent thinker with an invincible determination to accomplish almost anything you set your mind to. In all of your 18 years, I have seen you get out of your comfort zone many times and face your fears better than anyone I know. You have pursued a sport to the highest level and can create paintings that are fascinating, thought-provoking and detailed. You are so loving and thoughtful to your family, friends and team mates. My favorite part of your senior year has been watching you live in the moment and not worry about the future. I am excited for you to go to your dream school, The University of Chicago, and fulfill your academic dreams as well as be able to continue your swimming career. I will always be your number one supporter and cheerleader and even though I will miss you dearly when you go off to college, I will be confident that you can handle anything that comes your way. Enjoy the rest of your senior year and take some time for yourself!
Love you so much, Mom
Mackenzie is the youngest of 3 siblings for whom I’ve had the pleasure of creating Senior Pictures. You can see her brother Matthew’s Pictures and older sister Madison. All 3 senior picture sessions were done in August and at sunrise to beat the crazy Arizona heat. Isn’t it fun to see how different each teen is in your family?! Mackenzie pulled a couple of dresses from my style closet for her shoot. We spent some time hanging out at Papago Park for her sundrenched pictures early in the morning. Twirly free people dresses in the desert? Yes and yes, Every single time!
Mackenzie is off on her adventure at University of Chicago to continue her swim career we wanted to capture some images that included her High School swim career. Medals, goggles, swim suits and caps are always fun to incorporate into your shoot! Whatever is meaningful or special to you deserves a place in your session. Plus these pictures made a fun spread in her album. We can find creative ways to include the things you love. Not sure what to bring or how to wear it for Senior Pictures? Just ask, I’m happy to help you brainstorm fun ideas and locations.
Why yes, I do happen to have a dress that matches the blue of your eyes perfectly! I do love me some bold and beautiful colors. And to all of my swimmers out there, I’d love to meet you and start planning your perfect Senior Portrait session. Drop me an email at sandi@sandishipleyphotography.com to find out more about starting the process. I love helping with all parts of the process from what to wear, to where to go and finally, what to do with all of those beautiful images. Let’s make something amazing!
